I had a few bets on the Spurs -v- Reading game yesterday, one of which was the time of the first goal. I backed 31mins - 40mins so was particularly pleased when Keane's penalty hit the back of the net on 39 mins 57 secs. I checked my on-line account today to find out, however, that I'd lost the bet. I contacted my bookies and was told that the Press Association stated that the goal was scored in the 41st minute therefore I'd lost the bet. It's bad enough losing money when you simply pick the wrong thing but when you get it right and lose because of someone else's incompetence, it isn't nice. I'd like to say that I'm simply going to close my account with them but I'm pretty certain I'll just leave it as what can I do? Anyone else had this problem before? Did any of you get paid having gone for the first goal in 41 - 50 mins or did your bookie say you lost because Sky timed it at under 40 mins? Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
Crouch wasn't even on the coupon at Anfield on saturday so you couldn't even bet on him for 1st goal!
