    Sports Illustrated -
Chicago defeated Miami 100-97 to win its third straight, but in the process lost center Ben Wallace to a left knee sprain with 5:01 remaining.

Wallace, who finished with 15 rebounds, will have further tests and is listed day-to-day.

I guess we'll find out how long he'll actually be out after he takes more tests though.

I'm really concerned its more than is being reported. I doubt he has had an MRI or CAT scan on his knee yet. Those are the tests that will really reveal if he has any ligament damage, or serious injury. Keep your fingers crossed.

Luckily we got some time off before our next game.

May have to sign a Free Agent Center and I guess Sweetney will start?

If we do sign a free agent, then we would have to waive Barret, our roster is already at 15 players. I just expect everyone to be bumped up a spot in the rotation if Wallace is unable to play, similar to what happened earlier in the season. Move PJ Brown to center, start either Thomas or Nocioni at power forward, increase Khyrapa/Sweetney's minutes.

    I forget Brown is 6`11.

I wouldn't mind Nocioni back in the starting line-up.

Well, seeing as how Odom just missed a month and a half because of a similar injury, this could be worrying. However, from the sound of this, this isn't as bad. Hopefully he doesn't miss more than a week or so, as opposed to Odom, who missed nearly 2 months.

He really gives us a change of pace guy off the bench who brings tons of energy to the floor. If he's in the starting five, we really don't have that. I'm all for him staying on the bench and us bringing PJ, Tyrus, or Sweets into the starting five, that way we maintain our bench productivity and still fill the void mostly efficiently in the starting five.

Yes I also thought of our bench presence if Nocioni started. I think Thomas would start too.

MRI Tests show that Ben has no structural damage as reported by Comcast Chicago. He should be good to go soon.
