College football betting fans know that this is perhaps the most important season for the Georgia Bulldogs and coach Mark Richt’s football program. They are switching to a 3-4 defensive scheme and much is expected out of the program that is looking to make a return to the SEC Championship game in a wide open SEC East. Let us take a look into what are to be the most important games of the season for the Bulldogs. The game against South Carolina on September 11th will be the first road game that betting sharps will be eyeing for both that 3-4 defense and new QB Aaron Murray. The key to the game for Georgia to avoid the ruckus South Carolina crowd will to be establish the run, as South Carolina’s pass defense is much better than it’s running stoppers. The Georgia offensive line should dominate, and Washaun Ealey and Caleb King are going to be the keys to the game. In last season’s matchup, the Gamecocks were able to exploit the secondary of Georgia, and for the Bulldogs to win, they cannot allow that to win. The inter division matchup against the SEC West’s Arkansas Razorbacks is a very crucial one. Arkansas is being touted as one of the favorites to come out of the SEC West, and are looking to avenge 5 straight losses to the Bulldogs in recent years. Arkansas is going to use their new offensive scheme, called the pistol offense, to throw off the Georgia defense. Last season Joe Cox was able to shred the Arkansas secondary, so it is unknown how Murray will perform. Ryan Mallett, Arkansas’ QB, is the one to perhaps make or break the game. Once again, another one that may come down to the secondary. The biggest game that may decide the division is October 30th’s game against the Florida Gators. Georgia is 2-7 against Florida under Coach Richt, and they have been the main obstacle to hurdle for Georgia to win the division. Let’s not be silly though, 5 of the losses against Florida were won by a touchdown or less, and easily could have gone either way. Tebow is gone for Florida, yes, but the Gators John Brantley is a pro style quarterback, and they have many weapons. Georgia cannot simply think that with Tebow being gone that the game is theirs. Along with all of the weapons, they also boast one of the nation’s best offensive lines. Florida seems to have Georgia beaten psychologically, and they need to get over the hump, if they want to win the SEC East. Sports betting cappers know that this one is the big one.
