One schedule rumor that I just heard was that the Florida Gators and the Ohio State Buckeyes have agreed on a home and home series with the first game being this year in Gainesville. I don't have a link, since there isn't any, but supposedly this rumor is flying around on all the college message boards and has legs. If this is true, this is going to be huge for Florida and OSU basketball and could be the biggest OOC game of the year. Matchup between Noah/Horford and Oden would be a great one! Opinions? btw, the Gators have already agreed to go into the Las Vegas Invitational with 7 other teams including 6 small small schools and Kansas. So the Gators could be playing OSU and Kansas OOC and I also hear that OSU and Kansas has also agreed on a home and home. I also think that UNC and OSU might have a home and home, so the preseason top 4-5 should have a couple of games against each other to start this exciting season.

Ohio St. and Oden might be the first actual big OOC game that the Gators will face in 2 years

It's not just an SEC thread. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting J_Ray:</div><div class="quote_post">Ohio St. and Oden might be the first actual big OOC game that the Gators will face in 2 years </div> I will take a crappy OOC schedule with a National championship then a great OOC schedule without a National Championship anyday of the week. The schedule didn't affect us at all. I've explained this so many times. LAST YEARS SCHEDULE WAS GOOD FOR OUR TEAM. We had our fair share of challenging games(Wake and Syracuse, who both were supposed to be good) and Miami on the road. We also had FSU at home. Why would anyone that loses nearly 70% of their scoring from the previous year and come back with 4 sophmores and a junior starting want to schedule all the tough teams? The best thing for the Gators to do was to give the young guys confidence, because we weren't even supposed to make the NCAA Tournament last year, much less make a run at it. If we had that easy of a schedule this year, then you could complain, because everyone is proven and I want to schedule the toughest to see how we match up. There is 0 point to make a hard OOC schedule when your team is extremely young. Yes I would have liked to see more mid majors rather than the Morgan States and the Savannah States on our schedule, but whatever. I DID NOT WANT TO SEE A POWERHOUSE ON OUR SCHEDULE LAST YEAR and we had 2 great teams according to most people(I go powerhouse, awesome/excellent, great) in Syracuse and Wake Forest and 2 teams that were supposed to be at our level as a bubble team in Miami and FSU. That is enough.
