Our so big three looked horrible tonight...we are never going to win the big games if we the big three doesn't get us 60 points combined. Thank God for Boone and Sean in the starting lineup doing a great job for us and Boki coming off the bench solid for us. If frank was still using Collins and Allen we would have been even worse.

I'm getting close to saying we need to blow it up....reallly close.

I don't think Kidd should be the third leading scorer on the team, so your measure for determining how "good" they are is pretty flawed.

With JKidd on his team, Carter should be averaging 41 ppg.

Every time I come in this forum I hear something crazy, like Kidd/Williams for Nash/Amare. This ranks up there.

41 points between three players is 14 points per player, roughly. Since Kidd can be the most effective player in the game and only score two points, take his two out of the equation and make it 39 points between two players. That's about twenty points per player. That's great in today's game.

Take into consideration their year-long averages too, not just their performances tonight. As a trio, they combine for 58 ppg, 19.1 rpg, and 17.5 apg. I don't know this for a fact, but I'd think that'd be a better line than just about any other big three outside of the southwest.

Good post...but too bad it's not all about offense/stats [IMG] Our defense sucks.

Anytime you score 83 points a game your probably not gonna win the game...
Last year we averaged over 97.6 ppg this year we're averaging 91.6
Last year teams averaged 98.3 points against us this year defensively we've improved that number to 97.1 points.

Basically if we scored as much as we did last year we'd be better off...we've improved defensively.

As for 39 points being enough scoring out of RJ and Vince...bullshit. Honestly we need 45 points out of them combined on a nightly basis...at least. As for Jason Kidd scoring only two points being ok...that's also bullshit. Yeah he impacts the game in other ways but come on he should be getting 8 points a game at the very least. Why did we lose...partially because the Pistons are the better team...partially because of defense and mostly because of the big three's performance.

do the math if the big three scores what they should then we finish with 95 points tonight...

While true, this is a very simplistic and not very relevant way of analyzing a basketball game.

jkidd had some looks, they just didn't go in. same with malik. you get bad games from time to time as individuals, and as teams. I was happy with their first half play. If we see more of that against lesser teams than Detriot, we should be in pretty good shape.
