May as well just trade Al Harris for Shawn Alexander. It makes about the same amount of since. I just don't see it.

Why would the Cowboys give up on Jones? Do they have that much depth at RB right now?

Marion Barber III is actually a more Parcells type of back and Barber out played J.J. last year at times.

That would be a great trade for the pack. Julius Jones is a great player, and is worth whatever the pack will give him.

Roman definitely wants out of Green Bay. He doesn't like how the Pack handled the signing of Marquand Manuel (he read it on the internet, they never told him about it) and he's talking about skipping the next mini camp.

I, personally, think he should just play and stay. It sounds like he's looking good and Manuel's got injury concerns. Roman will definitely get to play and he's being paid pretty well to do it.

WOW god for bid that Roman has to compete for the starting job instead of winning by default. I actuallly woulnd't mind trading him especially for J.J.

Last year he had to compete for it as well, Artruo Freeman and Earl Little both were out for his job, and he fended off both including Freeman who was a veteran of the system, That earned me Roman's respect which is why I'd like to see him and Manuel fight it out for the spot. Manuel is a liabillity in Coverage, Roman has his faults there but is twice as good as Manuel in that department, Maneul is the Enforcer of the secondary, He lays devastating hits but needs to improve his coverage abillitys in my eyes if he wants to start in this defense were there is no such thing as Strong safties.

There were rumors going around that Dallas was trying to deal JJ on draft day. I have no idea the truth to them yet. Hadn't heard the GB/Roman slant.

JJ is more of a home run threat than MB3, but MB3 probably is closer to a Parcells-type back, whatever that is. JJ has had some injury problems that have plagued him since he came into the league two years ago.

Dallas does not have the depth to deal him now unless they were able to quickly pick up another decent back as part of the deal.

Tyson Thompson - good talent, but a project at best. As for Parcell-type backs....if you mean free agent ones, I haven't checked. But if they are still unsigned, I could see a Jonathan Wells or a Moe Williams being a backup if cost-effective. Maybe Stephen Davis or Antwain Smith for a cheap one-year deal.

I was in Milwaukee again on Sunday and Monday and read about Roman's hissy fit about the Pack aquirring Manuel. He sounds like a big baby crying about "disrespect" and some shit.

I give Ted Thompson credit for trying to move him on down the road. No new coach needs that kind of baggage around.

My wife and I looked at homes in Green Bay yesterday ... can you see me living in Green Bay? God forbid my 5 year old son ever becoming a Packer Fan!

If you do end up moving to Green Bay, let me know. I'd be happy to send your son a Favre jersey as a housewarming gift. [IMG]
