Who do you consider the biggest chokers in the game right now? The ones that fall and crumble in the pressure. my number 1 pick would be Tony Parker. He plays great the first 3 quarters of the game, but has been known to crumble in crunch time. Like yesterday, he missed 2 layups in OT that could of brought the deficit to 3.
Early in his career they had to play Speedy Claxton in the finals because Tony Parker was so bad. He's definatly up there with Chris Webber, Karl Malone..etc.

My bad BCB...haha..Chris Webber is atop my list.</div> How can Rudy Gay be a choker? The Huskies beat teams up so badly that he never had to step up late in games.
But the thing is, Rudy never really did step up late in games when he needed to.And Karl Malone was not a choker, the only problem was Michael Jordan. How about Carmelo Anthony come playoff time? He's great in the regular season and hits a lot of game-winners, but all 3 years he has been in the league/playoffs he has crumbled in the post season.
The #1 choker on my list is Chris Webber, without question. This year alone he choked and cost the Sixers atleast 12-15 games.
and you can never forget when he was with the fab 5, he called a timeout, when they had NONE remaining. That lead to a technichal and a loss.

You guys need to buckle down on the defensive end of the floor and stop worrying about how many PPG AI will put up. You know Iverson is gunna do his thing, you know C-Webb will for the most part, you know Iggy will defend, and you know Korver will live or die by the 3 ball. The only good defender on the Sixers roster is Andre Iguodala. And no, I am not leaving out Dalembert. Daly is a good shot blocker, but that doesn't mean he's a good defender. Allen Iverson is quick as hell and can get a lot of steals, but that doesn't mean he's a good defender either. But back on topic, you can't blame all of this on C-Webb. So he missed 2 shots late in the game. OK, well if your team would have defended 2 extra plays before hand, those shots wouldn't matter anyway.

He might have made the shot once... but every other time he either turned it over, got called for an offensive foul, or completely missed the rim.

In the tourny he averaged 18ppg, for a sophomore he did a good job.

He did pretty well in the tourney but what people are looking for is for that kid (with his size, strength, athleticism, and pure talent) to dominate a game on the college level. He hasn't really done that. I'm not calling him a bust, but I do not think he will be as good as a lot of people think he will be. Future superstar? no.
Chris Webber...But just to throw some heat on the fire, howabout Tracy McGrady, great player, but can't get past the first round...he's the best player ever not to get past the first round.
I'll throw another name out there. Kevin Garnett. Great player, but hasnt been able to get past that 1st round except once. I'm not sure if he is as big a choker as others like Webber, but i'd say Garnett has to be on the list because he hasnt been able to win big games.
So McGrady and Garnett not making it out of the first round makes them chokers? That is a team effort you cant pin it on a certain player. One man can not win games.T-Mac never had a decent team to work with. Garnett didn't either.Once they gave Garnett Cassell and Sprewell they made the Western Conference finals. He just never had the right players around him.

I know that they havenet been on the greatest teams, but look at last year with T-Mac; he had a pretty good team and were up 2-0 on the Mavs and were heading home to play the next 2 games. Granted the Mavericks arent pushovers, but i do say that is somewhat of a choke. Another series, Orlando Magic up 3-1 on the Pistons, What happens? Pistons win 3 straight games and win the series. With Garnett, i'll be a little more lenient with the word "choker", but a play of his cabability has to be able to get past the 2nd round of the playoffs at least once by himself. I cant think of a series where he was up like T-Mac was, but still. I think he has to be considered somewhat of a choker.
Which is why I think the KG is the better player than Dirk argument doesn't fly...Dirk has his team, good years, and bad, advancing...and being the only guy that's the same on the team from year to year.McGrady had a good team in Orlando, and a damn good team in Houston last year...and neither advanced.KG had to have Spree and Cassell to move on....that says more about those players, and more about KG not being that "great" of a player...especially where the playoffs are concerned.

If they are truly GREAT players, they should be able to single-handedly lead their teams to the playoffs and past the first round (atleast). AI has done it plenty of times by himself, and Kobe carried the Lakers to the playoffs this season, and he'll get out of the first round next season.
