I think it's a little early to tell, any team could collapse any moment. [IMG]

Houston and Seattle are pleasant surprises so far...

    sonics

without allen. flip who? great start for these dudes.

    hornets were already good.

even with out one of their stars they play well. and here we are again with mash out. nothing new to this club. (01-02 mash only played 42 games, still made playoffs) , or without bdavis (02-03 only played in 50 games, still made playoffs)

    Best:

Sonics. Ronald Murray is making a name for himself in the league and pushing for a starting spot even when Ray Allen is ready to come back.

    Worst:

Magic. Yuck. 1-7 and have gotten absolutely pounded in a few games. I thought this team would be able to challenge New Jersey in the east but now they look more like a team competing with Miami for last place.

Biggest surprise has been the play of the Sonics I think. This team is doing extremely well without Ray Allen. And, I've also been pleasantly surprised with the Nuggets. That team was a pushover last year and they've been very competitive this year. The surprises that are not so good, the play of the Magic for one. Team was supposed to be better now that they'd added a 2nd scorer and they've only been worse. Also, Chicago. They have yet to be able to win at home, only 1-5. But, 3-1 on the road, which, is the only reason why they haven't fallen completely out of sight right now.

Along with the Sonics, I think the Rockets are really having a suprising year. I really thought it would take them another year before Yao emerged as a top center in the league. Griffin and Taylor have been suspended and Piatkowski is out with injury. I am amazed that they have a 5-2 record going into tonight game. Who would have though this would happen?

I'm also suprised at the Rockets great play this early season. I already knew that they had a good team, but they have still suprised me with this 5-2 start. Their shooting looked questionable against the Mavs zone, but not something to worry about yet.

of course my sonics & the rocketsss. Ronald Murray was a shocker for me...I didn't even really know about the guy, except for his name & that he was a throw-in for the trade.

I like Hayes's game....He is underrated but he certainly hasn't been playing better than Lebron.

    CErtainly hasnt??
ok he was 8 for 14 tonight with 17 pts
the other games this year he has had
    20,22,13,13,16,10,13
and is shooting like 49% from the floor and about 36% from three which will continue to improve, 5 rebounds per game is solid..

Im not sure how u can say lebron is playing better.. one thing is for sure Hayes is a lot more consis.

Also, the only category that you list is points- Lebron has an all-around game and he acculumates stats in all categories. Just because he might be a better scorer than LBJ doesn't make him a better overall player than Lebron.

Yea, he's much better all around than Jarvis. But, he has to be. The Wizards already a point, so they don't need that. The Cavs really needed one though I think. So, he's really had to step up and do it all for em. And when I say do it all, I mean, get points, grab boards, assists, etc. He had to be all around for this team.
