Instead of choosing to make his own dynasty and create his own legend he decides to be known as the guy that came after Roy Williams.
Sort of, but Roy Williams had already created his own legend at Kansas by staying 15 years and taking them to several Final Fours. Self was at Illinois for only three years. He helped build them up, but he didn't even bother to stay to see the results of what he was trying to create. Roy did that at Kansas.

He built that program and could still recruit some of the best talent. There arent alot of happy Jayhawks right now.
I know there are a lot of unhappy Kansas fans. I didn't necesarily agree with Roy Williams' move, but it is a lot more understandable considering what he has already done for the program in his 15 years and the fact that he had already turned down his dream job once.

At least now I can see the best(Coach K) beat the heck out of WIlliams more frequently. In case you havent noticed but Im a big Dukie.
Heh. Duke fan, eh? Just a quick question do you know anything about Loul Deng going to Duke, or is he still considering the pros?

There is alot of good talent in this years draft. If I were him i would wait at least a year.
i havnt seen anything on the net saying deng will go pro, hopefully he wont, and i like dexter, will enjoy roy williams taking a beating from the blue devils
I'm not sure about it necessarily being a beating but I sure can't wait for the matchup next year between Duke and UNC. Felton/May/McCant/Williams vs Deng/Redick/Duhon/Ewing. Should be a very interesting series and regardless of who comes out on top Arizona will still be better than both of them D

They were...Syracuse just happened to get hot at the right time of the year, that's all the NCAA tourny proves, really...
i guess u dont understand sarcasm...syracuse was an underrated team all year and arizona turned out not to be that good after all
I must say that I do have trouble sensing sarcasm sometimes...but Syracuse wasn't really an under-rated team...their #2 seed in the tourny proved that...Arizona really was as good as advertised (and may be better next year)...I still believe that Kentucky and Arizona were the two best team in college basketball, but maybe that's just me...
ur key word in ur statement sunsfan was were. Kentucky and Arizona were busts while Syracuse worked their way up and beat top teams rather than try and walk through the tourney....Roy Williams will develop Kansas and help them a lot considering Sean May will be back from the broken foot or w/e he did to it. I would like to see that match up but sunsfan u forgot ONE THING....JJ Reddick may have lost a job at Duke...he got caught smokin weed like 2 weeks ago....I'm 100% sure he's gone....all u other ppl that think otherwise....Ii could care less
they are losing Jason Gardner and Luke Walton, yes they will be a good team but not as good as this year
which means that Stoudamire will show his worth and Ndudi Ebi will get to show his stuff early and often. Also, Channing Frye should go on a complete rampage next year. C- Channing Frye PF- Ndudi Ebi SF- Hasaan Adams SG- Andre Igoudala PF- Salim Stoudamire Bench Mustafa Shakur I'm not exactly sure about the starting lineup. I can see Salim staying at SG while Andre stays on the bench which allows Mustafa to start. There a whole bunch of possibilities with this team next year. Just looking at that lineup this is easily a top 5 team to me and just as good as last years team. It would be even better if Bynum chose to stay, though.
