well i'm not sure what to say about this game, are the Bills really that good or do the Dolphins really suck. The Bills are playing good defense but all the hype around the Dolphins and they start the season 0-2 thats rough
Rome wasn't built in a day. Looking at the stat sheet, it seems like turnovers were the biggest problem. Bills had about 15 more rushing yards, but the Dolphins had about 110 more passing yards. I didn't see the game. I did see that the Dolphins kept working and got a last minute TD then missed the 2 point conversion, so they didn't pack it in.
I did not see the game & can't give an honest take on what happened. I can only infer what happened from periodic checks online. Dale said its turnovers. I don't disagree. Its rushing defense and not winning the time of possession battle IMO. The players, it appears, aren't executing and the team is not in sync which is a coaching issue. Am I worried? No. Concerned? Starting to get that way. At least, Miami is not following the same formula as years gone by; Off to a fast start only to self-destruct starting in mid to late Oct. LOL.
I saw the game and the Dolphins sucked....they played horribly....they cant be as bad as they looked....

I'll be looking forward to watching the 10 min game clip that NFL Network On Demand puts up every week. Edit - Looking forward to may be a poor choice of words.
The didnt do any of the little things that you have to do to win, but the Bills did them all, especially on special teams....example: the Bills punter dropped the ball inside the 1 yard line about 6 times, each time it bounced straight up or backwards and each time they downed it inside the 10....the Bills blocked a punt that lead to 3 points....Roscoe Parrish had several nice returns....the Dolphins O-line looked out matched....7 sacks and coutless pressure that rattled Culpepper....and when he got time, he held the ball forever so Im assuming the Bills were covering well....in the end, the Bills beat thier asses....and it was one of the best officiated games ive seen in a few years, with just two bad call that i saw, (Welkers fumble that got reversed anyway, and Losman fumbled on a sack, but an early whistle killed the play)....there not much more i can say....sometimes you just get the crap beat out you and never saw it coming....the only positive I can salvage, is that it happened last year too(Cleveland 22-0) and they didnt lose again....
It apeared that they were driving towards the end of the 1st half and Culpepper threw the intereception. Any momentum that Miami was picking up disappeared. As I gather from Beef's input, Miami deserved to lose. Dale mentioned earlier that at least they didn't quit. Throughout the vanilla reign, except for a few players, the phins had no heart/passion/intensity. Occasionally today, I'd see updates of the Jets attempting to rally against the Pats. If a majority of the phins players played with a fraction of heart that the Jets do (year in year out regardless of coach) then Miami would be a juggernaut. There is no silver lining in this cloud. I haven't given up on an aluminum one in a Seattle-like sky.
Culpepper, like most QBs, needs more time to throw the ball. He's not mobile like he used to be and when he is pressured he turns the ball over. Fumbling for Culpepper is like breathing. It's natural for him. I do believe he holds the NFL record for most fumbles in a season. The only reason so many, including myself, picked the Dolphins as their sleeper team was the hope that Peps would rebound and be the Culpepper from two seasons ago. He's looking more like the Culpepper of last season.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheBeef)</div><div class='quotemain'>Losman fumbled on a sack, but an early whistle killed the play</div> That was a good call IMO. The QB was being held up by 1 defender before getting the ball striped by another & the ref ruled he had lost forward progress. The NFL's priority is obviously to protect the QB even J.P. I think the Miami D is as much a concern as #8 at this point. The run defense is especially weak.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>The run defense is especially weak.</div> I pointed that out above or does it not count because I'm a phins fan and by extension not objective? Hopefully, it improves when Wilkinson joins the active roster.
