<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Billups Cuts U.S. Training Camp Short "Although saying goodbye early was tough, Chauncey Billups left his first USA Basketball experience to keep a promise," writes Marc J. Spears of the DENVER POST. "The Detroit Pistons guard will not play in the world championship next month in Japan, because he has committed to spend most of his offseason with his newborn daughter in Denver."</div>Chauncey might be missing out on the Olympics, but his reason for dropping out of contention is a good one. Too bad though, I would have loved to see Chauncey in the red, white, and blue. (Not the Pistons red, white and blue)
Billups deserves to go, but I can't blame him for his decision. It's a hard life as an athlete, balancing Family and the game.
