After trading away 5 ea. 2014 All Star Players..... Here comes Ben Zobrist; nice addition for Brett Lawrie, Ike Davis, and Billy Butler... Facing the Stats of Last Years Amazing Pull Off trades, ie, Lester, Smardzja, Hamel, a few others, while ejecting Cespedes last year, and Donaldson this year. WTF is he thinking, ALL MLB Minds want to know. Yet-this one statement reveals more of a Smoke and Mirror's Oakland Front, which was mentioned as much last year, - -here are the hard facts: AFTER- obtaining the last Key Player in the mix, ie John Lester:' of 2014: The A's were 66-41 (prior to adding the new roster before the deadline), and leading the AL West by 2 1/2 games on the morning he made the last of those deals. They fell apart, going 22-33 and losing 12 1/2 games in the standings.
As an A's fan, Beane has lost his mind and should be fired. That's twice he's traded the teams top prospect, a SS, for a player that won't be there more than one year. That's just incompetence. Followed Robertson all season. He was consistently good every week. Absolutely, moronic deal. He gave up his top prospect for 2, .250 hitters who are old and have limited power. What a moron.
Easy to say where your GM doesn't keep trading your number 1 prospect in your system for 1 year rentals. Question is, where was that incompetent moron Cashman when Beane was dealing away a .310, 15 HR, 90 W, 100 run, 35 D SS at advanced A ball for and old player who can play outfield and the infield? Seems they had one in Prado who he traded for a pitcher with no control.
And yet everytime he does something of question the team ends up near the top. Beane is living proff that...........................................shit floats.
I was hoping the M's would pick up Zobrist. But I wouldn't have wanted to part with one of our high prospects for him. Beane's welcome to him.
...I was hoping the Yanx would get Zobrist...solid all around player...not a hot dog...always gives 100% ...plays multiple positions.
I too was hoping Zobrist could easily fit in the Yanx mix, alongside Lawrie. Brett is Arb eligible, but not a FA til 2018. Zobrist a FA in 016. As for the rest, I'd not dismiss any move Beane makes. He usually beats the odds, and has for quit some time now. Making wine out of water, and back to water again....! Of course the big one alludes Oakland, yet, they're more often in the hunt than not. In a AL West Div.; always remaining competitive, with at least 1 strong team, & a 2nd getting stronger. One can never undermine anything Beane does, did or is up to....! Beane, usually gets as much from trades, most Teams are unable to make. Their is NO Substitute for his unique patented method of being a GM, at least He's getting some results on paper, which is a helluva lot more than most other GM's. Why can't Cashman do as much????????????? These players have been available for the taking from day 1......? "While Cashman Slept".....! I'll admit last years wild card loss was devastating, for a Team that was re-built by Aug. The Lester Loss was not the norm for His outings, or any team for that matter. Almost a freak of nature loss, had it not been for the unbeatable streaking Royals.
No....just your metamucil Rob. BTW, you did know that in the state of CA you can be committed for 48 h evaluation if you look before you flush.
This obsessive man crush you seem to have on me is starting to get a little creepy. Have you considered a dating sight?
