If this is the case, it will be less than a year before it hits the United States. We're in for a rough year next year with this disease. Supplies are ready, but it won't be nearly enough for us all to have it for the times to come. Of course, if it has become human-human it isn't strong yet. We just have to wait and see. :no1:

In my opinion this is all a bunch of hype, or at least I hope so and i'm just acting like an ignorant dink who's never seen or imagined something as horrible as a pandemic hitting us. If this happens and it's as bad as experts are saying the world will turn into chaos. They don't know what happened with this family yet but it doesn't look good.

I agree, this family has sure given the world a huge scare, there isn't enough time to finish the vaccine in good numbers if it has already hit. We'll be living four months of hell when this does hit, and when we get back to school or work or wherever you are in your life you get to see which one of your friends died. I think all of you know that the Chinese had created drops in developement to the vaccine which may have been used to finish the vaccine however htey decided to expirement it on poultry, it failed and now the virus has mutated around the drops. If hte bird flu hits, BBW will get real active [IMG]

Yeah, we won't have a vaccine for years because our labs are slow and everything is red tape city. To get enough vaccine for all Americans would take 4 years of 100% production which is pretty near impossible, this is why you don't rely on goverment for anything.

Well as of right now its nothing to worry about. It will be just like Anthrax(The government overrated that, same with that mosquito deal), it will die out. I wont be worried untill/if it speads around local areas

Anthrax and West Nile can't be spread human to human, it's much more of a problem.

Lazy, read the article before you comment, this is an influenza. The Government can't overhype it, it's a disease that can mutate to human-human it's not something that can be used as a biological threat. Sure htis could all be a fluke, but recent events have proven that there is a chance that it does cause massive damage to the united states...

I loved when they showed the clip of that bird flu tv movie on the Daily Show. Basically, this guy shot himself in the head in front of his baby when he found out he had the bird flu; it was hilarious.
