Birdman & Nachbar Plan on Coming Back <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The team made some free-agent noise on Friday. Chris Andersen's agent, Mark Fleisher, said that Andersen intends to sign a multiyear deal with the Hornets when the moratorium ends. Bostjan Nachbar's agent, Herb Rudoy, told ESPN.com that Nachbar intends to sign with the Hornets on that day as well.</div> Source
Damn, bad moves in my opinion resigning these two. ?Birdman? returning is unneeded we drafted Brandon Bass who has a pretty good wing span and could probably give the team a good back up or even starter at the power forward slot. Anderson often tries to play outside of his abilities and ends up costing the team. This Hornets team has the ability to sign some veteran free agents this summer, and have a solid team. Anderson only played 67 games for the franchise last season, and did not make an incredible impact during the time he did play for him to deserve to return. If they are going to sign someone to a new contract how about Lee Nailon he did not play about as many games as Anderson for the team last season (68) and averaged 14.2 points a career high for him. Chances are he will not get many offers in the free agent market with such a deep free agent power forward/ center pool. Also Nachbar he plays good defense at times, but shoots under 40 % from the field and free agency will be a big thing this off season. They could get another small forward who would provide the team with a more viable scoring option, and possibly an equal affect on defense.
