i dont think this guy is anything special one thing he is good at is ruining the dunk contest. He will prob. Get signed but no one should pay this guy rediculous money like some free agents like memet okur got this yr.
Andersen should generate some interest from teams. He can come off the bench, block shots and rebound. He's only played 4 seasons and wont cost too much either.
Almost every team is looking for a big man and since every team has the MLE, I'm sure he'll get more than the 1.75 million that he expected, as well as at least a few years of security. I'm sure his agent realized the lack of big men available in free agency this year, and thus recommended him to opt out. Anderon is a hustle player and solid backup and can be effective on the right team.
This guy is a high energy player that many teams can use. He's gonna generate more money than most would think
maybe he can goto NJ. He does practically what K-Mart used to do, except for the fact that he is a horrible shooter. He could be the backup and be a poorman's Kmart.
He will probably get $2.5 to $3M from a team in need of his services. He brings energy off the bench, blocks shots, and is a legit 6-10. I'm sure the Hornets will try to bring him back, but they certainly won't overpay for the Birdman. Almost any team in the league could use him. It's going to depend on what his goals are. Does he want PT, or does he want to be on a winning team? Houston would be a great fit if he's willing to come off the bench. He would benefit from playing next to Yao and T-Mac. OT - He is the first player to make the NBA from the NBDL, store that factoid for Trivia down the line.
He'd be welcomed in Houston. I believe he's from around Houston, and he's known Yao since his days playing in China. Plus the Rockets need an athletic big man who can play the 4 or 5 position. It would be a good fit, IMO.
Actually Durvasa, I agree with you...I'd want to look at him as a last resort option for a 4/5 backup but I agree he'll fit in as an athletic defender who can run the floor, block shots and hopefully, finish inside...But, hes only noteworthy as the dude who went 2-30 in the dunk contest...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Shooter:</div><div class="quote_post">But, hes only noteworthy as the dude who went 2-30 in the dunk contest...</div>Well, going from playing in china, to the NBDL, to the NBA, and then to the dunk contest isn't a bad way to be remembered, no matter what you did in the dunk contest
Yeah, I mean he's still a good energy guy that can block shots, rebound, and hustle for teams. I would want him in Houston if we can't get a good powerforward from the free agent market or draft. Sad thing is the only thing he'll probably be remembered for is his Slam Dunk Contest exploits.

Back to Denver? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If New Orleans doesn't re-sign Andersen, he wouldn't mind returning to Denver. He still has several close friends here and his girlfriend is a Denver native. I think that he will probably get 3-4 million, he is a good hard-worker. He can play in the post and drive, he also defends well and can rebound and block. I think that some team will use him off the bench for 20-30 minutes any given night.
