I used to camp out when I was younger. But the earliest we went was 11pm on Wednesday. Normally would be fifth or so in line
The people in tents are stupid btw. Security can kick them off the premises if they catch them sleeping. I've seen it happen before. Also best buy are a bunch of dicks. They don't give a Shit if people cut or threaten people. Frys is much better at handling crowds.
Fry's at least here in LA is ghetto. They restock returned shit back on the shelves. The customers are total basement dwelling MMORPGers, etc etc. etc. Sales look pretty good. Macs are $150-200 off. Decent deals on tablets, $100 off Samsungs. Go Pro Hero 3 black edition is on sale as well for $250
I don't do Black Friday at all anymore, with computers and all the stores shoving their competing sales down our online throats, I'll still save 95% as much without ever leaving the calm serenity of my living room. In the end all that camping and throwing away of days of ones life is going to net them no more than the price of a two martini lunch. Edit: that's how I measure costs now, in alcohol included dining experiences. So much more fun than dollars and cents.
usually every Black Friday I get a hotel in downtown Portland to go out that night. It pretty relaxing, I'll go to Tanner Leather goods and also some of those stores around there usually around 3 or 4pm..usually 20% off belts all day. Its pretty empty by that time. Perhaps the Lizard lounge. They have free beer too.
To be fair, some of the deals of years past have been outrageous and well worth it if you are planning on buying multiple things.
THIS…. Actually, I would give money to all the first 5, then tell them what to buy for me. I sit at home, sleeping while they purchase my shit.
Just wait until about three hours before open time. Then offer the kid first in line $200. Sometimes it works.
That kinda defeats the purpose of being first in line on your own, no? You spend $200 to buy something that is on sale and may save you $200?
By that time some people are dead tired and don't want to spend a few hours in the ridiculous lines to pay for your stuff. These people are running on no sleep, security throws you out if you sleep. And if someone wouldnt want to switch places, people sell tickets to items they don't want. So mags can go up and say he wants a certain ticket item, the guy then sells that ticket to mags for $50. You'd be surprised, but some people stand in line just to get tickets and sell them to other people
