The DA who charged her with any crime by that name should work at Walmart for the rest of his or her career.

    What a fucking joke.

Yeah, she has the privilege of cops knowing there are cameras everwhere now so she didn't get what she would have got in the "good old days"

The state’s anti-lynching code was introduced in 1933 to combat widespread vigilantism in a time when mobs routinely plucked fellow whites from police custody to administer their own brand of justice.

How is it defined? Maybe "attempting to remove from police custody with intent to harm?" Just curious...

Find in the article how this makes sense.

"Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert eventually dropped the charges, but public outrage inspired lawmakers to quickly push through legislation striking the term from all records. Gov. Jerry Brown signed the bill into law last July."

She just got sentenced, what does it say?

"For the crime of BLANKETY BLANK you are sentenced to 90 days" ???????

    As I said, fucking joke.

The striking of the term from records is in relation to the dropped charge against Maile Hampton referenced in the preceding paragraph in the article, not in relation to the pursued charge against Richards.

It says from all records in the article. Does that mean going back only? Doesn't say. Either way if it is important enough to pass a bill against yet this woman still gets convicted of it....that says a lot about California.

Whatever they call it I could give a fuck. I am glad though that this person is in jail. Gives them time to think about being a public shit bag nuisance.
