Dixon, who has played for the Wizards since being a first-round draft choice in 2002, will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Blake, a second-round pick in 2003, will be a restricted free agent. "I'm looking forward to the summer," said Dixon, who finished a strong playoff performance that included a career-high 35 points against the Chicago Bulls in Game 4 of the opening round. I was happy to get that opportunity." The biggest roster issues for the Wizards will not be re-signing Dixon or Blake -- or another former Maryland player, little-used free agent Laron Profit -- but re-signing shooting guard Larry Hughes and figuring out what to do with former No. 1 pick Kwame Brown." All i can say is ... Blake and Dixon should stay together with the Wizards. They are the future, and could be a big duo. They have been playin together for a while and know how to work with each other. If coach Eddie Jordan would of play them together more during the season who knows the damage they could of done. But this is a Maryland Terp fan speakin here, and my opinion may be a tad bit bias. I hope the Wizards do whats right and keep them both.

What I do know is that Kwame needs to go, thats a definite. Larry should stay he is the backbone along with Gilbert and Jamison. Hopefully we can maintain to keep those three and the young guns. Haywood, Dixon and Blake.

I don't see either having big effects on any team. I am not a huge Dixon fan, he has good games every once in awhile and tends to shoot too much.

Blake on the other hand could be a valuable piece off of the bench, he has good court vision and if given the time, I think he could be a key bench role player.

I don't think either is going to stick around, especially if/when Larry Hughes re-signs. The Wizards will likely use Jarvis Hayes more to play the minutes left from Dixon and maybe bring in a PG in the second round of the draft or from a deal involving Kwame.

^My thoughts exactly, they are both average NBA players at best, although Dixon played well in the playoffs. I think we can get a player just as good like Alan Anderson, who could be the steal of the draft.

Both are replacable. As mentioned in the article, their main concerns are to re-sign Hughes and figure out what to do with Brown. They can easily be replaced with a 2nd rounder like Luther Head, Hodge, Anderson (and so on) and a boost of playing time to a healthy Hayes.

Dixon will flourish with his new team, if and when he gets one. i think he's been under used by the wiz and i'm predicting him to be a player with ppg around 15 sometime in the not so distant future. i'd like the raps to get him

Underused? Dixon is not a playmaker, he's an undersized SG in both weight and height. At best he's a spark coming off the bench, but will never be a starter in this league. The Wizards didn't underuse Dixon, he's just not that valuable a player when you have 2 guys who are both younger, more athletic, and bettter scores and playmakers.

I hope the Raptors don't get him, the Raptors don't need a shot jacker at PG, they need an actual PG. Someone who will pass and make plays, Dixon is the farthest thing from a playmaking PG. Blake can be argued, he showed great promise in the summer as a playmaker, but injuries have held him back this year. Even then, for a guy who's supposed to be a pure PG he's had 1.66 to 1 assist to turnover ratio for his career, 1.63 as a rookie, and 1.76 this season. He's been too wild in his play, has not shown the ability to get in the lane [which he does have] and be an effective defender in the NBA level. When he got time while Dixon was out, he seemed to be trying to play like Dixon. He's a very good three point shooter, and has the potential to be a starting PG in the league, though not on the Wizards. He's a much better PG prospect than Dixon, the margin is huge really.

Dixon and Blake won't be starters in Washington. Both Arenas and Hughes are young, and if Blake and Dixon sticks around, they would just be career backups. Giving elsewhere would represent a better future for the duo. It's not like Wizards will outbid all suitors anyways. As others have said, Blake and Dixon are easily replaceable, and they have not really excelled while in a Wizards uniform.
