Harvey on radio thinks it might take Blake a few weeks to recover. Is this the perfect opportunity to upgrade our PG position, or do we simply let JB and Serg have a go at the PG spot?

Hinrich or Andre Miller would be excellent additions now.

Oh, Rodriguez and Bayless were a combined 1-13 from the field and had 5 turnovers with 2 assists tonight.

Hinrich as a backup would be nice to have right about now. Having two Steve Blake's isn't a bad thing.

    Oh god.....

I think a good point guard trade is inevitable now though, if Blake is out for 3+ weeks. Bayless/Sergio would drive Nate nuts.

Can a coach suit up? Let Nate run the team on the floor.

hinrich yes, miller no. hinrich has more left in the tires and i think would fit better into the team.

ps...bayless was 1-11, love those that want to lump them together. sergio didn't play well at all but don't say 1-13 when one guy was 1-11.

OK. They were both equally bad.

My point wasn't really to discuss the comparison between the two; it was more of a blanket statement to indicate that our current PGs won't cut it.

The Blazers don't need Hinrich's contract. Trading for him would be doing the Bulls a huge favor.

I agree, Sergio does need to be put on the hot seat. Start him this game, if he plays bad, cut him.

I'm pretty sure Andre Miller is a free agent this summer. Trading for him would be stupid for two reasons:

    1) We could potentially sign him this summer anyway.

    2) We could lose him if we trade for him.

i could care less about whether we help the bulls or not. if we make a move it's, most likely, going to kill any cap space we have and render us useless in going after a free agent. with roy and la's needing extensions next fall that puts us close to or over the cap with oden looking for one the following year. whatever the next big move is will be the team for the foreseeable future. in the end, if PA is willing to go over the cap and pay the luxury tax so be it.

Nate would own all of our current point guards.

    Bill Russel did it.

We'd need to cut a player (Shavlik, Ike or Sergio) to clear a roster spot and then sign Nate to a couple 10 day contracts.

P.S Anyone know what Rumeal Robinson and Gary Grant are up to these days?

Rumeal's in Ann Arbor, never buying a drink again.

I'd let the Glove play on a 10-day...kind of kidding. Kind of.

Not that these are attractive options, but if Blake is going to be out three weeks - and there isn't a "trade coming soon", the following former NBA players are currently in the D League:

    Mateen Cleaves
    Will Conroy
    Eddie Gill
    Smush Parker

Of the four, I think I'd prefer Conroy as he played with Brandon at the U of W. He also has, by a wide margin, the highest FG% of the four (although Smush has a higher 3FG%).

I'm happy with Blake, and it just shows this team needs him.
