@ChrisBHaynes: Sources: #Blazers gauge interest of free agent guard Steve Blake and discover he'd 'love to come back to Portland' http://t.co/7Sv3raUXee
Didn't like Blake as the starter or playing heavy minutes. But Blake as a backup with a very small contract? Sure!
Blake would fit very well in stotts system. Blake -bae Frye - mle Sign and trade Mo for carter (assuming you can sign and trade non bird exception players, I think you can)
Living in LA I watched parts of most Lakers games. I enjoyed listening to the end of games they were losing........ Anyway Blake looked very good at times and bad sometimes too. But hard to blame him a couple of times when they literally had 4 healthy players in a few of those games. If we lost Mo I would be OK with picking him up with the BAE. He still is very competitive and hates to lose. He would be a "steady" influence for the bench.
Blakey is more of a traditional Pg that can shoot threes. So I'd think those that hate Mo would be excited
Interest in Blake and Frye? How far backwards are we trying to go? At least McBob is in his prime. Barrett would have a trouser crisis if Blakey came back.
Blake was one of the NBA league leaders in assist last year on the Lakers before he got hurt. Tons of teams would've loved to have him as a backup back then. Too bad for him he didn't continue to rack up stats with that joke of a team he could be cashing checks with Jodie Meeks right now. I think I might prefer Blake to Mo though it's a good debate. So I just realized Neil Olshey has been involved in a Blake trade once, but it was to acquire him.
I'm sure Blake would be fine as our backup. I felt before that he was suited as a backup. He can resume a role similar to when he was playing with Roy.
Id love blake back if he is willing to come back cheap. Mo/blake/Hawes makes our second unit three point friendly
Steve Blake is the type of top level FAs we get here. When you're wrong you're wrong, and I was wrong
