“We are ecstatic to once again have the opportunity to play for another NBA Championship, especially during our special 50th Anniversary Season,” says Trail Blazers and Rose Quarter President & CEO Chris McGowan. “Thank you to our fans for their tremendous, unwavering support during this season and the restart. I know Rip City will continue to be loud and proud for this team in their fight for the championship.”

In true Rip City fashion, the 2019-20 NBA Playoffs will be about more than just basketball for the Portland Trail Blazers. Civic participation is one of the most critical components of democracy and voting is an opportunity for fans to use their voice to help the determine the future of the community, state and country. The organization deems voting as a civic duty and has launched a voting initiative, providing resources for fans to make sure they are registered to vote, can sign up for election reminders and can be included in the 2020 census. To learn more and to check your voter registration status, visit trailblazers.com/vote.

The organization recently launched its “Racial Injustice Fund of the Trail Blazers Foundation” after seeing and experiencing racial inequities and racism throughout this country and our community. The team and organization refuse to remain silent, turn a blind eye and be complacent. The Racial Injustice Fund has been seeded by donations from our organization, staff, players and partners to support organizations advocating for racial injustice and police reform. Fans can now contribute to the Racial Injustice fund by donating HERE. Donations are tax-deductible, and one hundred percent of gifts and donations will go to nonprofits working in this space. To learn more about our commitment to fight racial injustice and to donate, visit trailblazers.com/commitment.

Fan engagement will be taken to the next level during this season’s Western Conference NBA Playoffs, presented by Moda Health and your local Toyota Dealers. For each game, the Trail Blazers will be distributing a “Digital Rip City Magazine”– the gameday programs fans previously picked up for every game at Moda Center. Each Rip City Magazine will feature different, exclusive content for fans, including player matchups and facts, kids’ games, player and coachfeatures, clothing deals and more. Find your Rip City Magazine on the Trail Blazers app every game day.

Originally debuted during the 2018-19 regular-season finale, fans are once again encouraged to play“Beat the Buzzer,” presented by your local Toyota dealers. The fan with the best score will be entered for the chance to win a prize pack. To play, look out for the information in your Game Day Alert emails or click HERE.

The Trail Blazers will provide fans with a special, online-only retail “Deal of the Game” each game day. Fans can shop the Trail Blazers official online team store or find the Deal of the Game through the Game Day Alert emails and the Digital Rip City Magazine.
