We only made the playoffs because the western conference is as weak as it's been in over a decade. We're facing the greatest team in NBA history. Even with Curry out, the Warriors have a talent advantage at nearly every position, including bench players and head coach. We're coming off our most unsatisfying series victory in the history of the franchise. Our "superstar" is a certified playoff bust who was basically "invisible" against the Clippers. We know the league wants Warriors-Spurs, so we'll be playing 8-on-5 every game May as well just start looking forward next season. Having learned what we've learned from the Clippers series "victory" (if you can really call it that), what do we need to do to actually get this squad on track toward someday escaping purgatory and maybe becoming a contender before Dame retires?
I think our length will bother Green this series but we have to shoot the ball better then we did against the clippers. If not I think we will be in trouble but who knows can our defense step up and give them trouble like they did to the clips. I think we match up well against there front line and I think our guards can score with there guards. So what I am saying we actually have out side to make it a series.
With Meyers Leonard, I'm pretty sure we would have been favored to win the series. Now if the Golden State Warriers win the series, there will always be an asterisk by it because they didn't beat us at full strength.
The Warriors have built a dynasty around never having to deal with Meyers Leonard. That's going to delegitimize their historical standing.
If golden state closes the blazers out this series without Meyers Leonard, it would have to be the most disappointing series win in their entire history.
If healthy, the Blazers have an extremely small chance of beating the Warriors. If the MVP is out, the odds get better. If they lose Green or Thompson on top of that the odds get much better to in our favor. I'm guessing if you take the top 2 players off of any team they should be beat. Unreasonable?
