<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Portland Trail Blazers may be closer to finding a first-round spot for Lincoln High (N.Y.) point guard Sebastian Telfair after agreeing to trade backup point guard Eddie Gill and $3 million to the New Jersey Nets for the 22nd overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft, league sources told ESPN.com Sunday night. The trade, which will be consummated on draft night, gives the Blazers three first-round picks at No. 13, 22 (from New Jersey) and 23 (from Memphis to fulfill the terms of a Bonzi Wells trade last year). Nets chief executive officer Rod Thorn told the New York Post Sunday that "we may trade the pick. That's a distinct possibility." Already assured of a shoe deal, Sebastian Telfair is looking for guaranteed millions in the first round. League sources told ESPN.com that the deal is done but it can't be announced until after the conclusion of the first round Thursday night in New York. New Jersey would make the No. 22 selection for the Blazers.</div> <div align="center">Full Story</div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dachen33:</div><div class="quote_post">as long as the blazers not drafing him at 13, im fine with him.</div> Well they drafted him at 13!! I'm guessing you're not happy about that? Although will never know if he could have been avalible when the 22nd pick came around, I support drafting him. I believe in time that he could be a very good player in this league, and I didn't see much else out there for them besides Telfair. They could use another center, but there aren't many quality big men in this draft, and they really weren't in need of guys like Al Jefferson or Kris Humphries with the loaded front court of Shareef, Theo and Zach. Even in the swing spots they have guys like Ruben, Anderson and Miles and they didn't need much in that area. I believe securing Telfair was the right move given what was avalible.
