All right guys and gals... who was the Most Valuable Blazer this year during the regular season?

MVP: LaMarcus Aldridge. He was consistent, played hurt, and got better after the all-star break. His newfound post skills have made us more formidable, and he's starting to rebound a little better lately. I like his game.

Runner-up: Andre Miller. But of course.

Even though some people give LaMarcus a lot of flak, I have to agree with you. He brings a lot to the table and opens things up for other players, and he's been our most consistent and dependable high-level performer.

    Have to disagree.
Miller is my MVP. He single-handedly won a bunch of games for us this season.

LMA hasn't shown any real improvements in his game. Again.
The fact that he came on strong at the end of the season, to me, just shows up how poorly he played at the start of the season.

You seem to forget, Miller played bad, arguably worse than Aldridge during the beginning of the season, and only came on once Roy went down. Which, ironically, is when Aldridge started to pick things up as well.

So my MVP goes to Aldridge, for being our most consistent player over the course of the season.

Miller was adjusting to a new scenario.
    LMA wasn't.

So what? The fact that he was adjusting to a new scenario excuses his bad play? I don't buy it. This is the Blazers MVP FOR THE SEASON, and for the season, Aldridge has been more vital to the team than Miller.

the question is who helped the team win the most games this year not who overcame the most.

For his overall contributions I think it's LA pretty easily probably followed by Roy

Contributions stat wise, sure, LMA did well.

    I'd still vote for Miller.
His leadership, shown through his actions and pulling out wins, had a great effect, lifting the team out of what could have easily become self pity after the injury nightmare we suffered this season.

Aldridge was our most consistent performer all season and so many people take him and his 18-20 points per game for granted. We wouldn't have won 35 games without him. Miller has been wildly inconsistent. I don't understand why anyone would pick him over Aldridge. He's won us games, yes, but he's completely vanished or shot us out of other games. All of that said, the man I pick to win MVP over both of them is....

    Juwan Howard

He has been everything for us. Our leader on and off the court, encouraging everyone. He loves being there more than any player on the team because he appreciates this boost that has been given to end of his career. When Joel went down, most everyone thought we were done but Juwan stepped in and we didn't miss a beat. We beat San Antonio and Dallas in their buildings with Juwan at center. Overall, Juwan gave us 8 ppg and 7 rpg on 56% shooting (including a game winning shot in Dallas) as a starter after averaging less than 9 minutes per game in the previous two seasons. Besides Camby, he is the only player on our team who has won a playoff series and if we are to have any chance of beating the Suns, we will need his leadership on the court and in the locker room. Congratulations and thank you, Juwan.

Brandon Roy is the MVP. The team was 8-9 w/o him and 42-23 with him in the line up. LA has played really well down the stretch, but let's not get crazy. Brandon is the straw that stirs the drink. It sure would have been nice to see what he could have done against this Phoenix team in the post season . . .

    1. Brandon Roy. If Bill Walton can win league-wide MVP playing less games (58 games) than Roy (65 games), then Roy can win it for one team.
    2. Andre Miller. Aldridge was the most consistent, but Miller was much more effective at changing games and carrying the team on his shoulders.
    3. LaMarcus Aldridge. Otherwise, Aldridge is right there with him.
Honorable Mention: Batum, Camby, and Oden were significant in the games they did play in, despite all playing less than half the season.

My vote is for Juwan Howard! He single handily kept us going after all the early injuries and the blowup he had after we lost to OKC at home told a big story as we went out and crushed Phoenix right before the all star break. LaMarcus didn't come on strong until we got Camby imo. Camby made something click in his head and now LaMarcus is playing like an all star.

All coming during an "off" year for him.

Why is this even a debate?

Miller and Roy are a Tie for me. Think Miller brought a lot to the team this year, but we aren't where we are without Broy.
