The nugs are currently a half game up on the Jazz and the Blazers, but I just did not expect them to be as good as they have been. I just wanted to hear some thoughts on which team is better, and which team will be able to compete throughout the season.

I think all three teams will be close the entire season and it will come down to the last couple games or two. Time will tell.

I think it will be Denver, Utah, Portland in that order

I thin kthe final standings will be this

    1. LA
    2. Houston
    3. Denver
    4. Phoenix
    5. San Antonio
    6. Utah
    7. New Orleans
    8. Dallas

Wow, you see the Blazers missing again, that's sad. I think the Blazers will be in the cusp, but make it. The only true locks I see this year are LA, Houston and Utah.

so basically its another "wait till next year"

thats getting old. its time for thsi year to happen. a playoff-less season would be a disgrace

I think they will be on the cusp also, but barely miss.

This team shoots too many jump shots right now. If that changes then so does my prediction.

I think the only playoff locks are LA, Hou, Utah and Pho. I think the final playoffs standings will be:

    1. LA
    2. Hou
    3. Pho
    4. Utah
    5. SA
    6. NO
    7. Blazers
    8. Denver

Houston could really fall apart if Yao, McGrady get injured again. It doesn't look it by how we played the last 3 games but I have a feeling we will be playing our best basketball late in the season.

    I love it.
We have played the fewest home game.
We have played the most road games.
We had the toughest start of the season as any team in history.
Our franchise big man missed 6 games during this stretch.
AND WE ARE 1 FREAKING GAME OUT OF 2ND PLACE!!!
Put that into perspective and quit with this chicken little, sky is falling BS!

I originally thought the deal was going to be better for the Nuggets. The Jazz will still end with a better record than the Nuggets.

The Blazers will finish on top in the NW though. The Jazz had their chance to distance themselves from us. They couldn't. The Blazers have done enough, and will continue to do enough, during the tough part of their schedule to hang close. The lead will be there's by February.

    Suck it Utah!

Both Utah and Denver are better than we are at this point. Billups made Denvser a lot better, and Williams will make Utah better.

    It's nothing against us.

    As for your points.

We haven't even had the toughest schedule in our conference. Phoenix, L*kers, Denver and Dallas have all had a harder schedule so far. Portland is 13th by the way.

Utah's franchise PG, SA's, franchise back court, the Clipps franchise PG and others have all missed significant time.

Houston and Dallas have also only had 5 home games, while Denver and Minny have only had 6.

Portland is so close to being 6-9 it's not even funny. Salmons shot should have gone in, Roy hit's a miraculous shot against Houston, Finley has a 10 foot bunny that he makes 99 other times out of 100. Not even mentioning the two games we struggled against the T-Wolves.

Portland just isn't as good as a lot of you seem to think they are. Do I think they will get better as the year goes on.....ABSOLUTELY. They could even make the playoffs and win some games.
