    #Blazers coach Nate McMillan is expected to promote advanced scout Larry Greer to assistant coach

    Greer has been a scout with the #Blazers for four seasons after a two-year stint with the Rockets under Jeff Van Gundy.

    Greer also coached at the college level for 15 years, including a nine-year stint as an assistant coach with Boston College.

    The #Blazers are finalizing Greer's contract and the move is expected to become official sometime in the next few days.

    Max, he's pretty respected around the league. Bayno will be missed big time, but Coach Greer is a quality guy. He knows his shit!

    As long as he can teach guys to stand in the corner and shoot while the shot clock is winding down, he will be a hit with Nate and some of the fan base
