<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The rumor is Portland and Toronto would swap pick and the Raps' incentive for doing that would be second-year point guard Jarrett Jack. The rumor also has other draft pick considerations involved, if necessary, but that's the crux of the deal.</div> This deal is nice for Raptors who get the pg they need and a chance at Gay or Bargnani with the 4th pick. For Blazers, their chance to get the player they desire, whoever that may be.
It's tempting. I guess I would do that just because of our need at point guard, and also because Jack is very young and pretty promising.
Not bad for Raptors. Trade picks, and all you do is move down 3 spots. If I were Raptors I would try and talk Blazers into dealing Telfair instead of Jack, but thats doubtful
No. It seems they really like Telfair. They feel like he is their next star player or something. From watching him Im not too impressed. He should go join the streetball.
^Alston was streetball, and plenty of Raptor fans liked himIts understandable for Raps to move down. All the guys going in the first few picks will be big...Aldridge, Thomas, Italy kid. Would be pointless to get one of them with Bosh and Villa already on the team. So it makes perfect since to trade for someone elces pick and a filler. This gives them a chance to get someone small that they need on the team...Gay, Foye, Roy...wow that sounded weird or Marcus Williams
Please tell me who liked Rafer Alston?God I hate Alston. All he did was deny Bosh the ball, jack up stupid 3's as soon as we got into posession, miss 'em, get into fights with the coach, turn the ball over countless times, play bad defense,...I could go on. You want me too?lol.

I don't have much appreciation for Alston either. Anyways, on to the main topic. In Jarret Jack's limited playing time at Portland he has showed game and has showed that he is a young talent. Sure he is low scoring on paper (6.7 PPG, 2 RPG, 2.8 PPG) Keep in your mind that it is 1. His rookie year and 2. He gets limited playing time. Also the Raptors get 4th pick, it is not as though they are losing their pick alltogether, that way with a gaurd they can focus on still getting Gay, or getting Marcus Williams, who they seem to be interested in. This is a good trade for the Raptors, however I don't think they will be able to snag Telfair.

Alston dribbled up the court, shot the ball or turned it over lol, or did some stupid ass pass.
I wouldnt mind this trade..Jack would get time, Raps would get Bargnani or Gay..And the Blazers would get the person they reallly want
This would be a pretty good trade for the Raptors, they could fill two holes instead of keeping their pick and only filling one hole, they can still get a player who will be almost as good as if they had the 1st pick
