    That's all? No other players?

    Nice try, Cavs.

I wonder if it was a "go pound sand" or a "no, but keep working on it."?? What else could Blazers want? Thompson? Next year's first rounder?

I don't understand why they'd target LMA with Thompson in fold. If that was a real offer, that's pretty telling to how they feel about developing their frontcourt.

I don't know on the one hand I can see why we wouldn't trade Aldridge in this weak draft. But on the other hand it would be nice to have another young potential stud grow with Lillard as well as be in decent position to get a good pick in 2014. I don't think we will make playoffs with or without LMA next year unless Lillard become a superstar. So why not put ourselves in the convo for a top 5 or so pick instead of being bad enough to make playoffs, but good enough to not really have a shot at a top pick.

Of course the Blazers reject the offer. There is still plenty of time left and Aldridge is our best player. It's called playing hard ball.

If that were a real offer, it would be ridiculously insultingly bad. I'm OK trading LaMarcus for the right package. That isn't close.

    Even I wouldn't trade LMA for just the #1 & #19.

So #1 & #19 is definitely a no go, as it should be......Would a Waiters or Thompson and a 2014 pick in addition be enough?

I am not entirely convinced POR would deal LA, even if he does want out...but if they did, they would need more than the #1/#19 in a weaker draft....at least a good young player (Thompson or Waiters) and very possibly a 2014 or future pick....

Let's see lma for another year. He said he was working hard on the low block this summer. I suspect he will improve defensively as well. Who knows, maybe he will monster next season and we could get the too pick in next years draft; which is rumored to be one of the best drafts of the decade.

I see this so many times. Let's see so and so for another year. At some point players are who they are. LA will be 28 this year and a 7 year NBA vet.

Yes but lma will still get the same production. This draft is weak for stars and next season is much stronger. Also; moving lma to a team with cap could net us more cap space, plus a better pick in a better draft. We still have another year with him after next season.

He will not walk next season.

difference between passing and assists. but i guess you don't watch the game, just boxscores so that's all you can go by.

but he really didn't change...he is the same player, just had better teammates around him i guess...but then again we had to chase someone out of town with pitchforks i guess.
