as an assistant. He already lives in Seattle and is looking for work. I wish P.A. wasn't such a billionaire baby, casting out those who don't coddle to his "chemistry" requirements. http://www.nj.com/nets/index.ssf/2011/09/nets_assistant_coach_john_loye.html I think PJ would put in some hard work to be a Blazer again.
He was with the Toronto Faptors Last, but bought out the last year of his contract. I think he'd be a perfect fit here, if PA could get over himself.
I struggle to think of someone who I wouldn't rather they hire to coach the Blazers then PJ. Okay, Kim Jong-il, Dennis Rodman, Avril Lavigne... I could go on if pressed PJ's flame outs in Portland and Golden State were epic. Such a control freak... players openly hated him like I've rarely observed before. I don't want him anywhere close to the team I root for STOMP
Heck, I openly hated him. I used to lead a chant, "Pee-Gay, go away!" We were close enough that PA had to hear us...
Working under Popovich tempered his personality. By the time he coached the Sonics he was a quiet guy. He has changed. He realizes now that coaching at this level is more introspective and less rah-rah screaming like a monkey.
I should add that I don't think he's a deep basketball mind. His personality isn't as shallow as it was, but his basketball IQ still is. Just wanted to say that he's not the yapping maniac he was. You don't need earplugs now when he's in the building.
