Played for Iowa and the Puerto-Rican national team in the world cup. https://www.proballers.com/basketball/player/178699/george-conditt
He's a big guy who played for Iowa State and I don't think he was close to being drafted into the NBA but maybe he's shown something after playing pro ball in Puerto Rico.
Granted it's against inferior competition but you can see he's very good in the pick-and-roll and in finsihing around the rim. Had 2 blocks, both of them in the first minute of the game but not enough in the highlights to see if he's a good defender/rebounder
I like that he's 7', played for Iowa State and Puerto Rico...we now have 5 7ft players if you count Butler and Badji. Good to get some depth..he's also about the same age as Murray and Ant at 23 years of age
I listed our 7' players, Butler is a stretch 4 but he's 7 ft tall so for ages people have said we wouldn't hire size and now it seems we have some.
Mobility: Good Court awareness/ positioning: Good Rebounding: Good Passing: Good Shot blocking: Good Hands around the hoop/ ability to catch a stray pass: Good
The Portland Trail Blazers and center George Conditt have agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract. That means Conditt is likely ticketed to land with the Rip City Remix of the G League, who is Portland's new minor league affiliate. Conditt went undrafted out of Iowa State at the 2022 NBA Draft. He spent last season playing for teams in Greece and Puerto Rico. The 6-foot-10 center put together a good run for Puerto Rico at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Conditt averaged 11.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 30.5 minutes per game during the World Cup. https://basketball.realgm.com/wiret...s-George-Conditt-Agree-To-Exhibit-10-Contract
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary NBA contract. The deal has a particular Exhibit 10 attached to it and no bonuses come along with it. This attachment is included in the contract after both the sides (team and the player) have agreed to it. An Exhibit 10 contract gives a franchise the flexibility to convert it into a two-way deal, but the team has to ensure that it happens before the commencement of the regular season. Exhibit 10 deals are usually non-guaranteed, which means the team can waive the player and get the cap hit off their payroll. If a player is on an Exhibit 10 contract with a particular team, it would allow him to participate in that franchise's training camp. The team will control that player's G League rights, and he is eligible to get $50,000 if he manages to spend 60+ days with the G-League affiliate. Signing a basketball athlete to an Exhibit 10 contract works out well for NBA teams, who hold the option to cut them or include them in the roster if they play well. The Miami Heat did something like that last offseason when they signed Max Strus to a two-way contract after he impressed in training and then in the limited minutes he got. The New York Knicks also did something similar with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist some time back. An Exhibit 10 contract also works out well for a player trying to get into the NBA. This kind of deal gives him a chance to impress the franchise and become a part of the roster. NBA is a tough league to be a part of considering the roster size of teams and talent depth the game of basketball possesses, and an Exhibit 10 contract offers athletes a very lucrative option to prove their worth. https://www.sportskeeda.com/basketball/what-exhibit-10-contract-nba
