Portland gets Nash (sends Camby and Felton to Boston) Boston gets Camby and Felton (sends Rondo and O'Neil to Suns) Suns get Rondo and O'Neil (sends Nash to Portland) trade accepted at espn trade machine. Portland sends expiring contracts for Nash. By signing Prizbilla, we can afford to move Camby. Suns move Nash and obtain Rondo and O'Neil. O'Neil is an expiring. Boston get a big in Camby and a guard to replace Rondo in Felton. And both Camby and Felton come off Boston's books this summer - maybe they enter the Howard sweepstakes over the summer. Nash / Matthews / Batum / LMA / Thomas Crawford / Wallace / Prizbilla off the bench minutes for C. Smith and E.Williams scrub time for N. Smith, Babbitt, C. Johnson
Like I stated above, we start Kurt Thomas. But we do play minutes with LMA/Wallace/Batum up front. And Craig Smith can also play wide-body minutes down low against team's back-up centers. And then we'd have Prizbilla for 7-10 minutes a game.
Firstly, Boston could get more for Rondo. A lot more. Secondly, in this scenario I would rather have Rondo than Nash. Steve Nash is really fucking old people. Come on. We are closer to rebuild than a championship. Why do people keep trying to trade for a guy who is old enough to be Kyrie Irving's dad?
2 more years at a high level? How would he do with Nate? Nash wasn't Nash until he started playing in the Phoenix system. He was a good player in Dallas, but not an MVP caliber player. What makes you think he'd do any better in Portland under Nate McVillain?
Bump! Boston needs Camby and with Felton and a pick, will move Rondo. But as much as I too would consider Rondo over Nash, my three-way trade is how we get Nash. In other words the Suns don't need Camby and Felton - but would take Rondo. I say this is a trade that has all three teams winning. And the pick to Boston would come from the Suns.
