My question is, why? Because this years class is better? Because we're trading our own pick somewhere else?

I'm sure if has to do with the Atlanta deal for Korver, teams can't trade their draft pick 2 years in a row. If they give us their 2017, they can trade their 2019 to Hawks.

Glad Olshey is doing all these favors for teams. When does it come back around?

Lebron doesn't fit with the age of our players so we don't want him.

So WE get the 2017 1st round? The way they worded that confuses me.

If we use it, it's a ~$1M cap hit, assuming the Cavs pick is # 25-30

Just like when I screamed about the Anderson Varejao trade. We could have squeezed Cleveland for much more. They were desperate. Only one other team could trade with them, and wasn't very interested. Another Olshey giveaway.

Picks are usually more valuable the earlier they are. This is a good move.

Hopefully this pick is paired with Crabbe for Noel next week but I doubt it

At some point, NO and PA have to figure out if this team, this season, is a contender as is. If not, they would likely consider if a trade can put them over the top. If not, then we probably won't see a trade at all. Not shuffling the deck chairs around on the sinking boat.
