Hey, how about Ritche Frahm? Tied with Garnett for 18pts on 5-6 from downtown. Thats good to see, he reminds me of Fred. KG was good 18pts 7rebs 7ast. Jaric also had a nice game with 14pts 6rebs 5ast 3stls. Kandi did alright with 8boards. I'm not gonna get too excited about this win, but I'm glad they pulled through and got Casey his first W.
Win is a win, okay game for Garnett - DMiles lite things up for the Blazers. T'Wolves always started slow under Flip - hopefully we can get off to a good start - it will help things a lot.
Richie Frahm! Who'd have thunk it? They've got to be hoping he can provide a consistent long range threat off the bench-that could allow them to trade Wally for more help at center or for a more defensive minded backcourt player. You know KG was happy to have Richie out there keeping the defense off his back. An encouraging start for the T'Wolves.
I like the fight, but I don't like the defensive lapses that lead to blown leads. Teams are going to make runs, I understand, but anyone who follows the game knows that there are teams that you expect to let you back in the game, no matter the score, and the Wolves were one of them for recent history (even 2 seasons ago).
Ahh I wouldn't read to much into that, Garnett attempted minimal shots, but hit some shots towards the end of the game that halted any chance of a comeback.
McCants showed some promise early in the game, a nice jumper he hit plus two nice layups. He only shot 3-12 though, I can guarentee he'll have better days. The core around KG actually looks good, they got their perimeter defense in Jaric, a rookie that shows some promise, and KG doesn't look like he is slowing down either.
