It is now at 5 having beaten San Antonio, OKC, Clippers, Dallas, and Houston in succession. If we win the next two, it will be a clean sweep of all the West playoff teams! Go Blazers!!!
Pointless thread. Playoff basketball is much different then regular season ball. In regular season you don't play your opponent back to back up to 7 times. Also playoffs are more physical and faster paced. Some teams do coast in the regular season and rest players , in the playoffs there is none of that.
If we lose to West teams, they get criticized but if they beat them, it's pointless? I'm focusing on the positive here. We're beating the good west teams. How is that a bad thing?
And yes, teams do sometimes rest players in playoffs. I remember Bird skipping games in playoffs to rest his back. Kobe rested a game in 2000 NBA Finals.
i agree jinxspeed, we beat tough teams and it is because they are resting, we lose to eastern teams on the road and it is because we suck. bring on some positive balance.
Why even play the playoffs then. Just look at the regular season records and advance it to the finals.
Dude. It's one step at a time. Right now it's regular season ball and you want to play as well as you can against the good teams. That's all we can do now. Win and enjoy it. (Or why even play a regular season?) Then come playoffs, you move on from there. To criticize how we're going to play in the playoffs when it's March is stupid.
