I am struggling to blend in the player with the background nicely. Do you have any tips for doing that?

Either change the opacity, on the side where it has all the layers it has a thing that says opacity, use the eraser or use the blending things which is to the lefft of where the opacity is where it says normal, click on the arrow and just try them all and see which one suits..

Hide you render, make a new layer and apply the image. The un-hide the render layer, take a soft brush and erase where the render is. Its the easiest way to blend your render.

The best ways to blend players into backgrounds are changing the opacity of either the background/brush layer or the cut, erasing bits with a low opacity brush or applying a layer style. I usually apply a layer style and then erase bits as well and it works well for me, but it just depends on the type of sig that I'm making.

If you use some effects it will blend your player in nicely and if you press CTRL + U to desaturate and lower the opacity on your sig before adding colour it should look fine..

Take your circular marquee tool, set the feathering to a high number, drag the circle shape to whichever part you want to be blended and press "Delete" and thst gives you a nice smooth blend.
