    Three games in three days.

That’s how the Blue Jackets opened their preseason schedule, getting a heavy dose of exhibition hockey this week after last week’s practices, scrimmages and conditioning skates to start training camp. Their legs, collectively, were a little sore and heavy – translating into occasional rough patches – but that wasn’t reflected in the results.

Following a 5-2 victory against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday at Nationwide Arena, the Blue Jackets hold a 2-0-1 preseason record with five games left before the regular season. It could’ve been 3-0-0 had the Buffalo Sabres not stunned Columbus with a 5-4 shootout win after overcoming a 4-2 deficit in the final 2:04 of regulation time.
