D. Price vs. Y. Ventura Blue Jays- Revere Donaldson Bautista Encarnacion Colabello Tulowitzki Martin Pillar Goins Royals- Escobar Zobrist Cain Hosmer Morales Moustakas Perez Gordon Rios
I do not like tonight's matchup. Ventura should be given a short leash.......based upon recent performances.
This game has been a battle. Three runs on three solo homers early but other than that the pitchers have done a great job.
What a game, what a Series. Game 6 was the Series, in a nutshell, IMO.... Joey Bats, with 2 HR's; and all 3 runs his RBI's.... Does it get better, or more exciting than the 9th, Davis in to slam the door, but gives up Martaan's first hit of the LCS, substitute Pompey to run for Martaan. Pompey steals 2nd, then steals 3rd. A walk to Pillar, men on the corners, up by One Run. Navarro K's, and Pillar steals 2nd. Men on 2nd and 3rd, the tying and go ahead runs, One Out. Davis K's next in line Revere. Followed by a bullet to 3rd by Donaldson, this years MVP? (probably). Game over Donaldson's out ....... My favorite play of the game, was Revere's leaping crash catch into the LF web of a wall........as seen in this URL.... http://m.bluejays.mlb.com/news/article/155411264/ben-revere-makes-leaping-catch-in-game-6
and- the Jays failure to drive in RISP, was the Pellet to knock the bird off of its perch..... The W.S. should be a Classic....! I got to go with the Young Guns, the 2nd baseman*, and the Free Agent**, built team; over the seasoned Veterans of the AL, but I'd not be surprised of any outcome by either Team. if there is a game 7, and the Mets can't knock KC off before a Game 7, then I can't see NY beating KC in Kauffman Stadium. AL's got HFA, tho' it might not matter, either way, I only hope to see maximum performance, with NO Shoddy shit for plays, no blown calls, a balls out fan fest, b/t two damn good Teams.
......I live in NYC....would like to see the Mets do well, and I do mean win. But KC will be tough to beat. Will the Mets' wildcard starters prove they are worthy of World Series destiny? One thing I do know, if the Mets win this Series with the kids, many GMs will think twice on how to build a starting pitching staff....... As for Cashman, I am just shaking my head knowing the lights will be out!
I don't see them beaten that easily and wouldn't be shocked if they won. The Royals are a good team that knows how to win.
After last years loss to the Giants the Royals will be extra hungry but the Mets pitching staff may just be to much to over come.
