The BMW Open is a tennis tournament held in Munich, Germany. Held since 1900, the tournament is played on outdoor clay courts and is a part of the ATP Tour schedule.

Youzhny, Berdych win Munich openers Second-seeded 2009 runner-up Mikhail Youzhny and third-seeded defending champion Tomas Berdych were among Monday's first-round winners at the clay-court BMW Open, a French Open tune-up. Youzhny got past France's Jeremy Chardy 6-1, 6-4, while Berdych continued his winning ways at this event with a 6-1, 6-1 pasting of German wild card Kevin Krawietz at MTTC Iphitos.
