Simmons has had big time problems with a foot. He had plantar fasciitis, ankle problems, and something else. He had surgery in the beginning of the season and sat out all year.

Bucks F Bobby Simmons (heel) missed the entire 2006-07 season due to the injury he suffered in the preseason. He is, however, expected to be ready for the start of training camp this summer. Simmons has been sticking to the rehabilitation exercises outlined by his doctor to help him regain strength and range of motion in his foot and ankle. (Updated 04/26/2007).

If I'm not mistaken, this is one of the first years he's missed over like 15 games.

Wow dude, I completely forgot about this guy. He was an MIP with the Clippers a couple years back. He was expected to become a pretty good player.

Thats the bad thing about the MIP award, most of the time it's just a player that happened to have a great year and then they just fall again.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Thats the bad thing about the MIP award, most of the time it's just a player that happened to have a great year and then they just fall again.</div>Not in recent years though, Zach Randolph, Jermaine O'Neal, T-Mac, Gilbert Arenas, Jalen Rose all won the award in the past 10 years. Also, what about this year's recipient? Monta Ellis, do you really think a 21 year-old kid who averaged 17 pts, 4 ast, 3 reb, and shot 47% FG won't be heard from again? I highly doubt that. He should thrive with Don Nelson and the style of ball Golden St. plays. Simmons is a good player but Milwaukee went overboard with singing the guy. He had one year of 15 6 and 3 and he gets a 5-year $50 MIL contract with one year of not playing (this season) where he was making $8 MIL.
