? The Bobcats will finally unveil their uniforms in August, according to team executive Chris Weiller. The team is waiting until after the roster is filled late next month, and August is a prime marketing opportunity with all of the back-to-school sales.

? Expect the Bobcats to work out Stanford's Josh Childress, Saint Joseph's Jameer Nelson and Minnesota's Kris Humphries in the next three weeks.

Childress and Nelson are candidates for the No. 4 overall pick. Humphries, a freshman who nearly played for Duke, becomes a factor if the Bobcats acquire an extra first-round pick in the teens. Former Cleveland Cavaliers coach John Lucas is working with Humphries to prepare him for the draft.

? If I ran the Bobcats, I'd be looking to broker a three-way deal involving Dallas' Antoine Walker. The Mavericks need to make a move with so many forwards on the roster, and a new team could leverage its room under the salary cap to make a trade happen. No, the Bobcats wouldn't end up with Walker's $14 million salary next season, but rather someone else off another roster.

? David Wesley has speculated for two years that the New Orleans Hornets would leave him unprotected in the expansion draft. Maybe so, but I can't see the Bobcats accepting Wesley's contract ($4.4 million next season, $4.95 million the following season) without plenty of compensation.

? It's a safe bet that more ACC signees (Shaun Livingston and J.R. Smith) will go in the first round this year than actual ACC players (Luol Deng).

Assuming that Deng is by himself, this would be just the second time since the 1980s that the ACC doesn't place multiple players in the first round. Georgia Tech's Jason Collier was the lone first-round pick in 2000.

They are not going to reveal the jersey until August.
