Going into this year Bobcats have their 1st pick which is projected around 7th and Raptors 1st which could be somewhere from 18+. What would you say would be a good player for the bobcats to draft? at 7th They can probably get Jeff Green, Yi JianLian, or Julian Wright.At 22nd, they can probably get a backup G or C depending on what the team needs. What are your thoughts on their draft his year and their future
I think the Bobcats really need to go after a starting center. I would say that Okafor could accel there, but his natural spot is at PF and that is where he is best at. Brezec is just not good enough defensivly to carry this team. Sean May is almost ready to start, but where would he fit? I almost think that Charlotte should have a linup like thisG R. Felton SG A. MorrisonSF G. WallacePF S. MayC E. OkaforIt would be undersized, but they could definitley win some games. As far as the future goes, I look for Charlotte to be the 7th or 8th seed next season! :winkglasses:
Center is their top priority imo. They have a bunch of big white pansies and Okafor who should be playing PF. If he got a dominant center who could take some of the load off him down low this would improve the Bobcats team as a whole a ton. SG like austin says is their second biggest priority.Now- Here's my best case sinario for the Bobcats this offseason:-Win Lottery-Draft Oden-Sign VincePG- FeltonSG- CarterSF- WallacePF- OkaforC- OdenThen you got Morrison, Herrmann and a few other nice players off the bench, STILL with a nice chunk of salary cap room depending on how much more they decide to use in the offseason and with that lineup, they're without a doubt a threat to take the Eastern Conference crown. But yeah, obviously not very likely to happen. :dribble:

Okafor is clearly capable of playing there and doing a great job so why not let him there and Let S May play the four - he is starting to show some range on his jumper- something that okafor is lakcing - this would open the floor alot for them. Im thinking a Gaurd for sure! Morrison might come good but I doubt it. What ever they get they are sure to be better next year. They have shown what they can do in the last 10 games- I think they have won 7.

Sean May is not an NBA caliber starting PF either, plus he's constant getting injured and he's somewhat undersized. Like I said, getting a nice good sized starting center who can do some of the dirty work downlow would truly open things up for Okafor and the rest of the team.
Considering most of you guys said Bobcats need a C. And I can agree that okafor is better suited at PF and May isnt that great at all. I think Noah would suit this team failry well. He's a hustle guy who can get as many rebounds as he wants. He's a good defender and doesn't really care how much points he score. And I would say thats what Bobcats need.
I think nabbing Roy Hibbert or Spencer Hawes would be a solid move if they are in the 6-10 area in the draft. They need offensive presence in the paint. The Bobcats also have a low-20's pick in the draft as well, nabbing a Morris Almond or Arron Afflalo would be perfect for depth at SG which they need.

Just thinking about his presence gives me goosebumps. They would then have a great young PG who is a great passer, a tremendous shooter with great potential, a shut-down defensive and high-flyer, a low-post rebounder, and a dominating center with excellent athletic ability. Well with hte Bobcats other 1st round pick from the Raptors. They can probably land Alando Tucker or macus williams as well.

And not too many teams throw in a rookie on day 1, not unless your Chris Paul or Deron Williams.
