<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When the Charlotte Bobcats open their arena, they hopes their grilled hot dogs -- with toasted, not steamed, buns -- will be tasty enough for the arena to compete with uptown's bounty of restaurants and bars.

The Bobcats, operators of the new uptown arena, announced Thursday their menu and partnership with Levy Restaurants to serve concessions. Levy, based in Chicago, operates Bistro 100 in the Bank of America Corporate Center and is partly owned by Charlotte-based Compass Group, the Americas Division.

The team knows it will have competition to fill fans' appetites in the crowded uptown market, said John Sergi, a Charlotte-based food consultant who helped design the arena's menu.

The Bobcats will open the bars and upper-level fan zones before games or other events to lure fans' appetites and wallets.</div>
