<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Charlotte Bobcats part-owner Michael Jordan says he's disappointed with his team's record this season and vows that Bobcats management will "spend what it takes" to attract top talent in the offseason. In a letter to be mailed to season ticket holders this week, Jordan goes into detail about the state of the team for the first time since he bought a minority stake last June and was given the final say in all personnel decisions. "As excited as I am about the future, if you know anything about me, you know how much I hate to lose ? and I speak for all the owners in that regard," wrote Jordan, who holds the title of managing member of basketball operations. "But we are able to temper this disappointment with thoughts of our youth and inexperience, and the idea that we will continue to improve ? hopefully, more quickly than even we expect. With that said, we remain committed to our plan to grow the franchise through the draft and the addition of key free agents."</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/447...t_takes_to_win/

I just hope Michael doesn't over-do it and mess up the great young core they have going for them right now. They have a force on the inside, a future top 5-10 PG in Felton, an athletic freak and defensive stopper in Wallace, a scorer in Morrison, a leader/floor general in Knight, and a very serviceable big off the bench in Sean May. I just hope MJ stays smart and doesn't ruin what they have going for them.

They still need a go-to, reliable scoring threat that can go for 20-25PPG a night. Wallace has that ability, but just isn't nearly consistent enough to be that guy. I say sign one of those type of players in the offseason, and trade him for some quality bench players. That will instantly make this team a contender in the WEAK East.

Well, I don't think he can do any worse than they have personnel wise with signings and trades. They have been terrible. Look at the most recent garbage deal, Eric Williams for Melvin Ely. Clearly a tank move, both are expiring contracts, yet they take on the guy who will less likely help them. Similar in vain to last year's Bogans for Baxter deal. McInnis and Anderson are not signings that mow you over.I do agree, Jordan has to look for the right signing. He can't go all out on a player because of the soon to be expiring rookie contracts of some of their young talent. A VC signing is not one they should be banking on imo. Unless he comes in at a reasonable price.

Let's get some veteran leadership on this team.
