<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The expansion Charlotte Bobcats on Friday named Jeff Capel an assistant coach, filling the vacancy created when Sam Mitchell took the head job with the Toronto Raptors.

Capel comes over from Fayetteville of the NBDL, where he posted a 69-61 record in two-plus seasons. He spent 12 years as a collegiate coach, going 201-162 with Old Dominion, North Carolina A&T and Fayetteville State.

"Jeff is well-known and respected in basketball circles and he will be a perfect fit with our staff and players," Bobcats general manager Bernie Bickerstaff said. "He has achieved success whereever he has been as a coach, but more impressive is how he imparts his knowledge and relates to the players."</div>
