Does anybody have any experience with this? I've never really gambled before...

I was @ a party Sat night and a few of the dudes there put very small amounts of money on each fight ($1-$10) just to make the fights a little bit more exciting...

So can anyone give me a breakdown of how this works? I'd be willing to put anywhere from $5-$10 down on each fights, to see if I can walk away with a small amount of a profit...

Bodog.com offers pretty simple lines for MMA betting. As far as I know you register with the site and then you can make bets on the fights on your CC. The odds are based on betting or winning $100 but I think you can make much smaller bets than that.

IMO you're better off making bets with your friends. For example right now Rampage is about a 2-to-1 (23/10) underdog to Machida. If you bet $5 and get $11.50 back (minus your initial bet) is it really worthwhile? Making a lot of little bets can add up in the long run if you aren't great at picking winners.

What a lot of guys do is parlay. They bet simultaneously on five fights. It increases the payout but also stretches the odds against you. There isn't much more to it than the other bets. The more underdogs in your parlay, the bigger the payout if you win.
