    MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (AP) ? A Swiss bodybuilder who claims ties to organized crime was arrested for investigation of offering to murder the alleged victim in the Kobe Bryant sex assault case.

    Patrick Graber, 31, agreed to carry out the killing for $3 million, said Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca. He made the offer to Bryant's security director and met several times with undercover detectives before being arrested during a sting Thursday.

    Graber, of the Los Angeles suburb of El Segundo, was identified by sheriff's officials as a well-built bodybuilding coach at a local gym. A Swiss national with an expired visa, Graber has been in the United States about two years, sheriff's Lt. Jim Taylor said.

    Just before Thursday's arrest, Graber attempted to reach for a bag full of movie studio prop money in a car, Taylor said, after which he was surrounded by more than 30 officers.

    Arraignment was set for Sept. 22.

    This is getting out of control now...but Im not surprised one bit by this...Kobe has so many fanatics who are crazy....Sorry to say this but I'm surprised the girl is still alive...It's a cruel world

    This is horrible what society is coming to regarding stuff like this. Today some zealous nuts will kill some innocent girl because she is saying what in her mind is the truth. I hope this guy goes to jail for a long, long time. This just shows how unsafe our world is. Sad [​IMG]

    Not necessarily, it could be a blatant lie.

    Nonetheless, unacceptable behavior on the man's part.

    Its sad to me. I saw it scroll on CourtTVand I just got on and read everything. Its just a crying shame what people are doing. I mean I know Im Dirk crazy but I wont be all like going to kill somebody who makin accusations like this.

    Exactly. Besides you should look at the case as if you didnt even know who Kobe was. If you were given all the facts and it looked as if Kobe was guilty i bet about 50% of people would still say he didnt do anything. Pretty sad
