Boeing made a rocket to go to the International Space Station. They launched the rocket. The rocket had problems during the launch and the 2 astronauts that were sent up are now on the space station until an Elon Musk Space X rocket can bring them home in 3 months. The Boeing rocket is being sent back to earth with no astronauts because they're worried it might go BOOM!

And Boeing's government contract was about twice as much as SpaceX charged the government to build a better launch system that is more capable and more reliable, faster.

So while I don't like his politics, Musk did hire somebody really good to run his space program.
