<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I just want to continue to get better," said Bogans, who averaged 6.8 points and 4.3 rebounds as a rookie last season and earned a reputation as the Orlando Magic's best perimeter defender. "I won't be satisfied. I still have a lot of work to do. People still look at me like I can't play this game." The chip is still there. Bogans plays his best with that chip. He is still upset he fell to the second round of the 2003 draft. He still shrugs whenever someone questions his lack of explosiveness and tries to cast him solely as a tough, heady role player.</div> Full Story Hmm, how do you guys invision Keith Bogans? I see him as a solid starter for us. He's a great passer, finisher, and has the ability to draw the contact for a foul. We got him as a steal, and his future should be in an Orlando uniform. Theres not much I dislike about him - He's a great defensive player, very competitive, and has a strong work ethic. Hopefully he'll play great ball this season for us.
Wow I didnt realize he posted those kind of numbers his Rook year, I think he is going to be great for you he will bring you D and O to go along with Dwight and Franchise in the future..
I invision Keith as an elite player for the Magic. He dominated in the summer league with a couple of 20+ games, a 30+ game and only one game where he wasn't in double digits. He's a born hustler. He's up and down the court faster than you can change the channel. When he's in he brings an explosive like spirit with him. I too see him having a very great season this year. Keith Bogans is "The Theory"
Bogans is a very solid player,he put up some ok numbers in his rookie year and it looks like his games has elevated,I watched a Magis SL game and he was very agressive and looked very confident,I think one day he will become a solid player in the NBA and maybe average about 15+ ppg in the near future.
Well it looks like Bogans and Nelson both have chips on their shoulder, Dwight maybe also, this team has a lot to prove and i think they will come through.
It will be though for him to get playing time between nelson, francis, and mobely. I dont see him becoming a starter for the magic any time soon sure a solid back up though. Mbaye if they move him to the three they can give him alot of minutes he isnt a small guy so he could play that position. Though if hill is healthy and we keep stevenson it will be tough to find him some playing time under all that young talent we would have on the team. Not to mention a place to work in pat garriety and the rotation for gooden and howard. I hope we dont trade gooden we have made some bad trades for players that became future superstars or quality players ben wallace for grant hill, chis webber for penny hardaway, hardaway to phonex, atkins to the pistons, also matt harpirng and drew gooden could be the future player added to that list.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ice:</div><div class="quote_post">Hmm, how do you guys invision Keith Bogans?</div> As a good spark off the bench, maybe as a 6th man kinda guy. But a starter? Not this year, not with Turkoglu. This is the one guy who I think came in last year as a rookie for the Magic and proved himself. When he played, he put up good numbers and showed everyone that there was no way that he should have slipped so far in the draft. I would have used the cap room that was used to sign Turkoglu for someone else and started Bogans at the 3 spot. He's ready, and now he is going to have to sit things out on the bench when pretty much everyone but JD and Weisbrod can see that this guy could be a legit starter in the league. This guy is still developing, but could easily give the Magic 10-12 points a night against any given team in the East easily due to the fact that he really doesn't have any huge weaknesses. He can shoot, drives well, and plays well defensively. I was hoping to see him starting this year, but it won't happen unless they bench Turkoglu.
