<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bogut was asked for specifics of the American attitude toward the game, what he does not like. Guess who's name came up? If I had a chance to play with Shaq or Tim, if they told me to buy them groceries, I don't care, I buy them groceries. It's a gift to play with somebody like that. Kobe is probably one of the guys that, everybody knows it, he's got that cocky arrogance to him, everything has to surround around him the whole time. Otherwise, he doesn't function. That's the biggest example. "If you're playing with Shaquille [O'Neal], a Hall of Famer, you keep your mouth shut and play if you want more rings," Bogut continued.</div> Source It is towards the bottom of the page.. Do you believe this guy?.. I hope Kobe posterizes him in the season, and just plain out embarass him.
just take a look at miami noe without wade!!! They lost the last game by 30. Shaq can?t do anything on his own he is not a team leader!!!!
and this bogut should keep his mouth shut coz this loooosser will never play on the same level kobe does.
I guess if you equally helped win three championships along with Shaq you should by him groceries, despite the fact that you were as equal as the big guy. What was Shaq doing in Orlando. Correct me if I'm wrong but Shaq didn't win anything until Kobe became a starter in the Laker team. I never even heard of this Andrew Bogut. I can't wait for Kobe to school this dude. Predicted average's for him: 7 points 2 rebounds 2 assists.
I really don't think Bogut has any point in saying this. He didn't see what was going on behind the scenes. Shaq is the one who demanded to be traded, Kobe didn't force Shaq to come to that decision. Basically, Shaq gave the Lakers and ultimatum (is this spelled right?)...either him for the next 2-3 years, or Kobe for the next 7-9? Who would you pick?

Bogut is getting comparisons to Tim Duncan. He is the most fundamently sound kid to come out of college since Duncan did, arguably. This kid is going to be a monster in the league, I just think he ignorantly made these comments because he was blinded by the media, like a lot of people where.
While I don't disagree with his comments, he was still wrong saying what he did. It's not a good start for your NBA career as a rookie talking bad about the league, the players, a 3 time NBA champion and an experienced NBA all-star. The last thing you want to do is rub guys the wrong way in your first season in this league. Bogut said that Duncan is his favourite player and wants to be like him, well If thats true then you need to go along with what Tim Does. JUST PLAY THE GAME and be respectful to the players you face. Getting into media wars is not what a player with class does.
bogut? you kidding me? what has this guy done so far in the nba? nothing. he should keep his mouth shut until he actually does something. just can't wait till the lakers play him. kobe'll kill bogut. wonder how many times kobe will dunk on him?
I may not like Kobe, but he is an accomplished superstar in the NBA and Bogut who hasn't won anyhting in his career besides the POY trophy which is big but not as big as 3 NBA titles. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Laker_fan:</div><div class="quote_post">I guess if you equally helped win three championships along with Shaq you should by him groceries, despite the fact that you were as equal as the big guy. Thats the main reason they won because they peaked together. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">just take a look at miami noe without wade!!! They lost the last game by 30. You may even hear it from Kobe. Fact is as much as you hate him you know that he is a leader and that is a huge reason why Kobe developed into the Kobe that he is.

For all of those Kobe lovers who have hated on Bogut in this post: Bogut never doubted Bryant's playing ability or his skills, he just said he had a bad attitude. This statement, whether it was necessary or not, is historically true. I'm sorry, but if a dude acts a bitch as much as Kobe did last year (Source: "The Last Season") he kind of has this **** coming. Kobe should have tough skin by now and not take this too harsh, after all, it's coming from a future rookie. Any y'all hating on Bogut's skills and his personality at the same time. . . just wait till next year. Watching this kid in the tournament last year was a treat, he knows his **** and he knows it well. Comparing him to Kobe isn't really practical at all. Bogut hasn't been able to show his stuff against NBA competition yet, besides the fact that they play completely opposite positions. However, back to my point... he never really said that Kobe is an inferior player, he just hated on his attitude toward the game (something that tends to be far from respectable). Touche.

I dislike both the Lakers and Kobe... but since when does that not give me the right to defend a perfectly true statement by a great player?
Bogut is 100% correct, or so it seems. The only thing wrong about it is that he really doesn't know Kobe, so he shouldn't pretend like he knows what goes on behind the scenes. Anyway, some of this over-the-top defending of Kobe is astounding. It's to the point where certain people don't even bother reading the quoted article. Just an FYI to those certain people: Kobe has flaws, just like you and I. If you continue to deny this, you just come off as obnoxious and silly.
