The Golden State Warriors are expecting Andrew Bogut to be recovered from his fractured left ankle in time for the beginning of the regular season.

“Yes, we expect that,” Warriors GM Bob Myers told Sporting News. “That’s just me prophesizing, but all indications are that will be the case. We’re hoping that he is in there for us on opening night. But if he needs two games, if the difference is waiting because he is not quite there, then we’ll wait. But we expect Bogut to play opening night.”

Bogut had surgery on the ankle on April 27th.

Bogut will be limited in the preseason.

“We think he will certainly play some preseason games,” Myers said. “Probably not the Lakers game (on October 7). But we are trying to make sure that Bogut is playing for us on the last game of the season, that is what is important. But we expect him to be out there.”
